pillnitz
I spent a couple of months working in dresden at the start of this year. Its a really beautiful place to visit for architecture and landscape photography, but gets pretty cold in the winter.
When I wasn’t working I was exploring much of the surrounding areas, one day I visited a little town on the outskirts of Dresden called Pillnitz. There is a large chateau surrounded by a park and situated next to a river.. plenty of photo opportunities.
The chateau itself has a varied mix of japanese, baroque and french styling and a lot of history. It made european history with the declaration of pillnitz which helped start the French revolutionary wars.
